  I  believe I speak for all of the staff of the Fun Day 2008 when I say 
it was an absolute pleasure to let God use us as he saw fit.  Many 
children were able to get an abundance of school supplies free of 
charge.  Funding from Foster Chapel Baptist Church and many 
volunteers within the church helped provide school supplies for all ages
with items ranging from backpacks to flash drives.  We sincerely 
hope this event helps as many students as possible achieve their 
academic goals. Food was provided and enjoyed enormously, and 
the performances were truly a gift from God.

KIDS DAY WAS A MAJOR SUCCESS. IT IS VERY REWARDING TO WATCH THE NEIGHBORHOOD 
(AND OTHER) KIDS PARTICIPATE IN AND ENJOY THE FESTIVITIES OF THE DAY. KIDS DAY 
FULLFILLS ONE OF THE KARATE FIVE'S GOALS AND OBJECTIVES TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD, 
WHICH STATES:

To prepare the youth for the journey of life, provide a program that is not only 
physical, but one that also teaches hard work, honor, loyalty, discipline, and 
commitment.

To stimulate interest in the martial arts in the community, conduct martial arts 
demonstrations at church, schools, private, and civic functions.

MANY KIDS WALKED AWAY WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES THAT COVERS THEIR NEEDS FOR PART OF 
THE SCHOOL YEAR. 

THE KIDS WERE TREATED TO A HOT DOG AND FABULOUS BAR B Q MEAL THAT WAS DONATED 
BY John Roberts of Scruggs Barbeque. OUR THANKS  FOR YOUR  SUPPORT AND 
PARTICIPATION.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THE MARTIAL ARTS DEMONSTRATION BY OUR KARATE FIVE KIDS, AND 
THE SUPPORT BY THE ADULTS, WAS A FIRST CLASS EFFORT. WE GOT MANY COMPLIMENTS 
FROM THOSE IN ATTENDANCE.
