The Furino's to the Rescue

FLO AND GARY, Sr's Comments:
"Flo and I decided to rescue our horses to save their lives.
There are too many animals being euthanized in society today
and we figured that just saving a few makes a difference in
the horse's lives, as ours. They all have their own personalities
and characteristics, and we love them all very much. Each one
is unique in their own way, but that's what makes them theirselves
and what makes us love them."

In the Kids' own words...

Marshmallow - A pure white peppy mustang
always ready to go; a loving, sweet, and gentle
mare; and my best friend. This is my pony
Marshmallow! I got my first horse, Marshmallow,
in April of last year. She was the Amish horse
that pulls the small cart with the milk and cheese,
and for some reason they decided to giver her up.
When I first saw her coat shimmering like a fresh
blanket of snow and her eyes - one brown,
the other half brown and half blue - glowing like
the afternoon sun, I fell in love. I'm currently taking
lessons to ride my girl without harming her or myself,
and I groom her every day. She's my best friend and I
love her like it. We've only grown closer in time and
I hope it continues that way because I don't want to
ever lose her.

Jasper is an exciting horse. She's a warm blood,
so that makes her jumpy and playful all the time.
This rare breed of horse makes her so special
and unique. Her energy may make her a bit of a
challenge sometimes, but sometime in the near
future she will make a magnificent show horse. I
can't wait to see what my big girl standing at 16
hands will be able to do then. She will always be
my horse, and I will always love her.

Blackberry stood out when I first saw him in
the paddock full of horses. He was the coolest
looking horse in there. When there's a horse
thats over 17 hands tall in a herd of horses, it's
kind hard not to notice him. Blackberry is the
best horse in the world because he's a good
rider and he's not too lazy, but not to wild, and
just an all around great horse. That's why he's
my buddy.

The only horse I've ever seen with zebra
stripes, blonde and red high lights in their
mane and a big black stripe down their
back is Lucky. He's a unique breed of horse
called a Grulla Dunn. His spunk gives him
character, and his long lazy face makes him
the funniest. Lucky maybe just barely a horse,
instead of a pony, but his huge personality
makes up for him being shorty. No matter
what though, he'll always be my best friend.
