I began my Martial Arts training under Master William L. Mason, in the summer of 1975.
I trained for 6 months and then moved back to Colorado for a year and three months.
Then moved back to Tennessee and studied again for 3 ˝ years at which time I left again
for 12 years, I was a Brown belt. We trained with several different Masters... John Boone,....
Red Dragon Kung Fu, Master Moses Powell.... Sanuces Ryu and Master Florendo Visitacion..,
( Master Vee ),... Vee Jitsu Te. I then left again for about 12 years busy with my family and
work, etc. After being away I once again decide it was time to get back to work in the Martial
Arts. I received the rank of Shodan after renewing and learning more, under Master Mason in
Dragon Cobra Te, before he left the School in the capable hands of Eddie Huff, whom I respect
as a brother, teacher and fellow Martial Artist. I assisted him for about 6 years at which time
he left to pursue other avenues. I kept the School until Master Mason's most welcome return.
Master Mason is always looking to better his and our knowledge in the fields of our life’s quest
what ever it might be. More training more fun and always a genuine interest in bettering each
other and expanding our circle of friends and fellow martial artists.
Once again it has come full circle , Our circle of friends and fellow martial artist has been
opened more . We are now part of the prestigious Karate-Five. We have now begun our study
of lsshinryu under Master Garfield Wilson. We are in capable hands and I'm looking forward
to training and expanding my knowledge of the art and being a contributing member of our ever
widening circle of friends and fellow martial artist. It's and honor and blessing to work with
these fine people.
Remember a journey starts with that first step. Maybe we will meet someday.
respectfully yours,
James Hall
