YOU HAVE PROUDLY MET THE CHALLENGE ************************************************************************ Congratulations My Dear Husband!! What an accomplishment you have earned. I am so proud of you. Through all of your toil and labor and underlying racism, you have earned what you’ve worked for, for such a long time. As a black man in this art and in this area you have risen above those who have tried to keep you down. Your knowledge has excelled above what no others can imagine. The Lord has given you a talent (not a gift, these two are separate) and you have used it beyond anyone’s imagination. He has given you a mind that can create and calculate the moves that astonish onlookers. Your comrades are amazed at your knowledge and others envy your expertise. You have earned the respect of others from far away and they are proud to be in your acquaintance. What you have does not come easily. The Lord can give all of us talents and we sit on it and never use it. We complain that we want to be like someone else but when we have it we are too complacent to use it. You see, when you’ve been given something it has to be nourished and worked with to make it grow and sprout so others may see the fruit. You have blossoms and fruit all around you because before you became a great leader you were a great follower. You have strived through all of these years to make things right in this art. You have come against prejudices, jealousy, buy outs, you name it and it’s in the history of the Karate Five. They have tried to hold you down, but what they don’t realize when you are a child of God no one can hold you down, not while the Lord is pulling you up. You have used the art to tell people about our wonderful Savior and how he has made the organization prosperous because he is due all of the credit and glory. If not for the Lord you or the organization would not exist but through Him He has blessed the organization so abundantly. There have been ups and downs, small numbers, but look at you now; they come from far away to absorb your knowledge and you so freely give it to them if it is truly desired. No horse playing, strict discipline, self confidence, high self esteem, strength, honor, integrity, strong character, self defense and commitment; that’s what it’s all about. These are the characteristics that come from above and have trickled down to you. You have kept a level head with your knowledge. You are a man and as we know man can become haughty and proud and arrogant. How can the Lord use someone that’s like that? Of course He can’t. You have humbly shared and put others before you. You know what you can do; sharing gives you pleasure like a proud parent seeing how the children grow in discipline and commitment. You are a no nonsense Master when it comes to the art. Everyone should be proud and happy for this great accomplishment you have earned. Note: THEY did not give it to you, it was EARNED. Once again CONGRATULATIONS AND KUDOS TO YOU MY HUSBAND. Love you so much, Linda |
